Come Join in the Festive Fun at Abbey Lantern Festival on Wednesday 7th December
ABBEY MEADOWS CHOIR SINGING AT 5.30PM NEXT WEDNESDAY FOR THE XMAS LIGHTS, BY THE SPAR AT THE PRECINCT ON BARNWELL ROAD
Most important thing is that the Abbey Meadows School Choir accompanied by Ms Hart is ready to sing with Historyworks at the Christmas Tree lights with the Mayor, convening 5.15pm onwards outside the Spar for performance of songs at 5.30pm led by Mario and Helen of Historyworks
LANTERN MAKING BEFORE-HAND 4PM TO 5PM
If you wish to make a lantern, go to Christ the Redeemer on Newmarket Road 4pm to 5pm to make your lantern and join in the procession down to the Spar for the xmas tree and singing!
XMAS DECORATION MAKING AFTERWARDS 5.50/6.45 at CHRIST THE REDEEMER, NEWMARKET ROAD
If you wish to make xmas decorations with Historyworks and ChYpPS team members, led by Tizzy and Mario and Claire and Edd, please come along to Christ the Redeemer after the xmas tree lantern parade, from 5.50pm to 6.45pm, which will be FREE for youngsters as a craft activity before and during the FREE community meal provided by Cambridge FoodCycle.
SINGING CAROLS AND FREE DINNER 6.45/7.30pm
6.45pm/7.15pm Join back in with Xmas songs for the whole community with the Abbey Meadows Community Choir led by Mario and Tizzy, with projected words so everyone can join in with some old family favourites and some newer songs chosen by the youngsters!
All are welcome to join in this community event organized by Abbey People!
